6-MONTH COURSE IN RURAL MANAGEMENT

Introduction

The course introduces the key issues of rural management and development, based on insight on rural problems and trends around the world. In lectures and workshops participants learn to analyze rural challenges from various perspectives.

The program has been carefully designed to produce "new" professionals capable of innovation in dynamic environment. It teaches a strategic combination of modern rural management theories, planning methods, analytical skills and its application to contemporary reality of Georgia’s’ development. It balances theory and practice and builds on a solid foundation of core courses in economics, resource management, rural policy development and rural marketing.

Course structure

The Rural Management Course comprises a core professional training component that integrates the study of agricultural economics with that of organizational and institutional aspects of effective planning and management. It incorporates a range of advanced courses addressing key policy and management issues in rural development.

Course duration is 6 months. Language of study – Georgian. The evening classes are held 3 times a week.
