About the Program

GIPA Program in International Affairs provides a comprehensive education in International Relations with a major emphasis on the two important aspects of International Relations: International Security and International Development. This emphasis on security and strategic studies on the one hand, and economics and development on the other, is aimed to meet the fundamental challenges of contemporary international political environment by providing quality education in the critical areas of international politics.

Creating and implementing an effective and rational national security agendas, which would guide the development and if necessary the employment of military means for political ends, generating and sustaining economic development are the cornerstones of security, stability and welfare of the state. The major accent of the program is therefore placed on the politico-military aspects of national security and strategy, and major issues in international development.

The Program offers a comprehensive education which will guide students in their analysis of international politics, the relationship between the politics and the use of force, major issues and concepts of international relations, international economics, international development and political and military history. The program will expose the students to the traditional as well as the most current trends and debates in international relations.

The Institute currently offers two programs: MA program in International Affairs (with the possibility of concentrating the studies either in International Security or International Development) and the Summer Certificate Program in National Security and Diplomacy.
