1. Introduction to International Relations (Bakur Kvashilava)
The course will get familiarize students with basic theories of International Relations and Politics. Overviews classical proceedings in political sciences and international relations (Thucydides, Macciavelli, Hobbes, Rousseau, Kant, Waltz, Huntington etc). The aim of the course is to give theoretical background to students for analyzing international relations. (obligatory)

2. Introduction to Economics (Nia Sharashidze)
The objective of the course will introduce to students to fundamental issues of economics. The course consists of two parts and overviews the most important theories of macroeconomics and microeconomics. It covers the problems of supply-demands, customers behavior, production and costs, money cost in time, risks, competitive and monopoly markets, macroeconomic environment, inflation, unemployment, the governments role and influence on the economics and etc. After finishing the course students will be ale to use these conceptions in the decision making process. (obligatory)

3.Theory of Strategy and War (Levan Tsutskiridze)
The aim of this course is to introduce the students into the subjects of war and politics and their interrelation, the basis of military-political philosophy of the contemporary world, upon which the states base their political judgment and decisions. The course is divided into three parts. First part overviews the significance of strategic studies and its place in contemporary science and politics. Students will receive the basic information about different types of armistice and get familiarize with major professional conceptions, determinants and terminology. The following part relates to universal and classic theories, in the last section is overviewed opinions about warfare aspects and military branches. (obligatory)

4. History of Diplomacy (Tornike Sharashenidze)
The course covers the analyze of the most important steps of international relations in development context. It overviews the best practices of diplomacy art, by examples of old Greece, History of 18-19 century Europe and two World Wars. Great attention is paid on outstanding diplomats’ activities such as Taleiran, Meternih, Bismark, Kisinjer, etc. One of the main objectives of the course is to teach students how to use their skills in contemporary world. 5.Political, Economical, and military aspects of transnational crime. (Khatia Dekanoidze)
The aim of the course is to overview different types of international crime. Will be underlined causes and political, economic or historical issues which influence the crime globalization. The course also refers to different criminal links, regional and international security issues, which deals with the course’s aspects. All these will represent students to sound and general imagination of this subject. (optional)

6.International Economics (Natia Natsvlishvili)
The course offers an introduction to international economic relations. The leading theories of
international economic, relations and development of the existing economic system will be presented to students. The basics of international economic system, models of international economies, economic integration, international trade and capital flows, international monetary reforms, as well as accompanying institutional aspects will be discussed. Gradually, students get familiar with the stressing international economic policy issues currently on the agenda of policymakers. (optional)

7.Introduction to Comparative Politics (Bakur Kvashilava)
The course covers Political processes and institutions in comparative aspect. Major emphasis lays on the different forms of State origin, and the features of current political processes. Students will get familiarize with modern and classical literature in Comparative politics like Weber, North, Dali, Lintz, Zaqaria etc. (obligatory)

8.Contemporary Terrorism (Levan Tsutskiridze)
The objective of the course is to explain and analyze the basics of contemporary terrorism and its military, political and social aspects. Students will be introduced to the initials of contemporary terrorism, its forms, strategic, organizational and military structure which acts on individuals or terrorist organizations. The emphasis will be laid on the religious and cultural philosophy of terrorism its form in different societies and culture. Besides students will get known the complicated interrelation between transnational crime autocratic states’ religious and political extremism and organized terrorist affairs. (optional)

9.Diplomatic services (Giga Burduli)
The course introduces students to the specifics of diplomatic service, thoroughly overviews the important aspects of diplomatic protocol. The course will assist students to obtain practical skills and necessary information for practical activities. (optional)

10.Social Economic Theories (William Hanlon)
This course is a general introduction to the basic theories, which refers to the issues and problems of development. It is a political economy class, but there will be discussion of economic models that are used for development. This course will introduce the major topics of development. It will begin with a general overview of the history of economic development and the economic models that were used to guide development practices. This is followed by lectures and case studies, that introduces several of the most important topics in development such as inequality, the role of governments and institutions, the function of international organizations, development and international trade (Doha rounds), poverty traps, etc. (optional)

11.Security systems (David Chochua)
The course covers current processes in the alliances and security management organizations, precisely the history of Euro union and Euro integration. Its’institutes, politics and strategy. Second part of the course deals with NATO, OSCE, UN organizations. Will be overviewed the basic of their origin, strategy and policy. Emphasis will be laid on cases of success and failure of these organizations. (obligatory)

12.International trade and development (Tamar Beruchashvili)
The course aims to provide the students with basic knowledge which is inevitable for discussing trade and development issues. Besides, students get familiar to contemporary approach and complexity of its relationship. The course will help students to improve economic thinking and to get appropriate knowledge and skills in the following spheres: regulator legislation of international trade and institutions, conducting negotiations, participate in international arguments in this sphere. The main objective of the course is to formulate abovementioned theoretical and practical elements to be integrated in their future work. After passing the course successfully students will have detailed information about comprehensive trade system legislation, institutional mechanisms and practice which greatly helps them to make concrete decisions in trade policy. 14. Statistics (David Lezhava)
The course aims to introduce statistics, as one of the most important instrument of policy analysis for decision making. For delivering this information will be used discussions practical cases simulation by supporting computer program and presentations. During the course Microsoft Excel and or Minitab is widely used. However its not necessary to study these programs in advance. The course will introduce to students quantitative analysis skills and the way how to use this data’s in everyday or professional life. The main principles and procedures of statistics to be able effectively explore and represent quantitative data’s. Which gives scientific back ground to their research. (obligatory)

15 . History of warfare (Levan Tsutskiridze)
The aim of this course is to aware students with those essential views about war and politics, which is the basis of military-political philosophy of the contemporary world as well as state institutes’ political and military doctrines, and military political planning during the war as well as peace periods. The course is divided in two parts. First part overviews the significance of strategic studies, and its place in contemporary science and politics. Students will get the basic knowledge about different types of armistice and get acquainted with those general professional conceptions determinants and terminology which they need for the further steps. The following step devotes to strategic evolution from the World War I to contemporary conflicts. (optional)

16. International Law (George Tughushi)
The objective of the course is to overview current processes in the sphere of International Law. The course determines and explores the issues, which the states, involved in international law processes, face in practice. The course will teach the students the methodology of International Law trends on the basis of international law systems. The course overviews international public law sphere (legal entity, sources, norm execution, territory and jurisdiction and etc.), determines and underlines the links between the events, such as succession of the state, state sovereignty, responsibility, international organizations etc. These topics are discussed in relations with human rights. The main accent is on the UN, its specialized agencies and the major regional organizations. (obligatory)

17. Research Methodology (Teona Kupunia)
The course aims to assist students in developing academic writing skills. Also it will introduce them with different research strategies and support to conduct academic research independently. At the end of the course students should be able to represent MA paper including all academic rules and opponency. (obligatory)

18. Principles of Democracy (Giorgi Margvelashvili)
The course conveys basic principles of democratic development, such as human rights and its fundamental links with democratic regimes, equality, liberty and justice, which are the inseparable rights of each individual. Government’s duties according to the needs of the population development of statehood and the meaning of the Social Contract, creation and development of democratic institutes in developing countries. (optional)

19. Transitional Economics and reforms (Zurab Nogaideli)
The course overviews economic and structural reforms, which has been implemented by Georgian Government since 2004. Students have opportunities to become familiar and find out amendments and changes in legislature related to tax, custom, labor legislation and existing and forthcoming outcomes of these changes. Will be discussed big invest projects (f.e. free industrial zone in Poti, ) will be analyzed their strategic and economic significance. The course also covers the issues of already implemented changes in social sector, policy implemented for macroeconomic stability of the country (Fiscal, monetary etc) and existed outcomes.
