Introduction to CSJMM

The goal of CSJMM is to promote free, independent and professional media in the Caucasus through quality western-style educational and training programs in journalism, media management and communication.

CSJMM’s English and Georgian-language master’s degree programs in journalism and media management aim at strengthening the professionalism and the role of independent media in the Caucasus and Central Asia. They produce a cadre of well-trained journalists who are committed to the principles of fairness, independence, honesty and accuracy in their work for newspapers, television and radio.

The program’s philosophy is that journalists who are well grounded in the skills necessary to report fairly and accurately will raise the level of journalism where they practice, and will serve the public by providing truthful information and upholding the highest ethical standards of the profession.
